LG TU915 a.k.a LG VUE - Waste of Money

3/10

This phone has been nothing but dissapointing. The phone looks good, it's a good size and the U.I. is simple and easy to navigate.

I had several issues with this phone and the service I received from LG. The phone would never sync up with its software on the PC. Bluetooth was also problematic. The phone would freeze for 5-30 seconds when running processor intensive applications, such as simple mobile games. These issues were brought to LG's attention.

My phone was sent away for repair returning without a battery, and since the phone was new and no batteries were sold individually I waited several months to get my phone back. When I finally received a battery I realized that none of the issues were fixed and a few new ones were created by the repair process. LED illuminating the front buttons on the phone were always lit, even when the phone was powered off. The microphone did not pick up my voice making the phone unable to carry out it's primary function.

My phone was sent away a second time, this time the phone returned within a week. The LED issue was fixed and I was able to make phone calls again. The original issues that I sent the phone away for were never addressed and remained. During the repair process a purple mark was created on the screen only visible when the phone had a dark background.

I now had my phone for 16 months and the microphone is going again. LG will not repair or replace the phone as it is out of warranty. I demanded a new phone while it was still in warranty due to the issues that were not addressed. LG simply shrugged it off as a software issue on my end. As for the freezing, they blamed it on the software developers who created the applications even though one of them was included on the phone as a demo.

I've now given up on trying to deal with LG. I recommend you stay away from their products. Even good products break down, it's how the manufacturer resolves these issues that makes a product a good investment or not.

I now have an HTC magic, it does everything it is supposed to with ease. As for my LG VUE, it has become a toy for my one year old.
