It's a functional phone for the price
8/10
I picked this phone, knowing it's limitations. It worked for me. I'm not a texter, but I wanted a Qwerty keyboard. I thought I wanted web access, and can have it if I'm in a pinch, but rarely use it. Virgin's coverage is spotty. On major routes you'll get something. Get a ways out and you'll cut out.
With the pay-as-you-go, it is an inexpensive phone. cheapest plans I've found for my usage pattern. I use it for travel, and when trying to meet someone somewhere. I've found it's not good to use when trying to meet people for a hike, because we're usually out of my coverage area.
And if all else fails, you can play Tetris on the phone.
Camera is annoying because you can't see the full image that you just shot, when looking through the camera. The whole image will show up when you scroll through your saved images.
I've had this thing about a year and a half, and it seems to have started using more battery than before. I just keep a charger in the car, at the office, and at home.
It was the best deal I could find for my needs. Virgin seems to be less predatory than the other pay-as-you-go plans.
