Broken hearted with broken LCD

I loved the phone and took good care of it, even bought a protective case but after 3 months the LCD cracked..broke my heart. The LCD screen is too thin.Samsung should have put a thick glass or separator to protect it. If you have one don't get attached to it because it will break your heart when the LCD screen breaks. Repair costs about the same price as a new unit : (
