AKA: iPhone 3G

Apple has done well, mark me down for 4G!

It seems there are people hating iPhone simply because either they can't afford one or have another, inferior phone. And as far as I am concerned any other phone is inferior.

Yes, you may miss a feature or two, but 9.5 times out of 10 there is an App for it! Check this latest thing, called internet, before you wine that iPhone is lacking something. No copy/paste? Download a dozen utilities that DO that, like QuasiClipboard! No video camera? Bloody Google what you need first - don't wine - there are ways to get more functionality than you can imagine! How many phones are there that can be, say, your personal interpreter? Or tell you the name of the song you just heard on the radio?

All the complaints I read about simply do not apply to my iPhone. Specifically, reception is excellent. Never crashes/freezes. Battery needs charging daily with high use, but so does every other phone on the market. Dropped calls? What's that? I am not saying you can't get a lemon, but that's your luck. It may have helped that I waited for a couple of months into 3G before I got one, to allow for minor bug fixes.

So you think I like an iPhone? I barely started! Did I mention design? It's stunning. Do you know there are Apple products in museums as art pieces? Seriously. Both my iMac and IPhone could easily be them, too. How about user interface? Can you say Intuitive? Sight unseen you can pick up iPhone and just use it. There are simply no devices I ever dealt with that compare with a degree of friendliness and thoughtful foresight. Consider going back to Windows Mobile (actually, Windows period) as cruel punishment. They should do it to criminals as a form of torture.

What? iPhone's size is not as small as you had hoped? And Blackberries are? Besides, unlike many others cells it is almost all screen. Beats having those huge keyboards with tiny post stamp sized screens that make you go blind.

At the end, leaving my laptop (and Nuvi, and iPod, and, ironically, a calculator) home on the latest trip - for the first time - and not missing it, seals the case for iPhone so tight it makes it best phone ever, hands down.

Mark me down for 4G!
