A unique smartphone amidst a sea of look-a-likes
Pantech Pocket

The Pantech Pocket is certainly a unique device, whose characteristics allow it to excel at some tasks, while impede it with others. The phone's wide display is great for browsing the web, but the slow processor can make loading web pages a chore. Those with fast thumbs will enjoy messaging on a wide... More
Sounds great, looks great, and performs exceptionally well in every respect
HTC Rezound

The HTC Rezound is an impressive device and an all-around winner. It has landed the #1 spot on my "if I needed to buy a phone" list, and is probably at the top of any gift recipient's list that you might be shopping for this holiday season.
It sounds great, it looks great, and it performs exceptionally... More
Great price, pretty small and decent set of features
Samsung Repp
Jessica Dolcourt from Cnet

Whether you consider the Samsung Repp boils down to a couple of conditions: if you aren't fussed by its small size, its more simple outlook, or the lower-capacity everything, it's probably the right on-contract price. Android keeps it up-to-date, but I wouldn't be surprised if Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich... More
Sense/Gingerbread combo looks good and web browser does Flash easily
HTC Explorer

When the HTC Explorer was announced our first thought was "Nothing we haven't seen. Next one please" but we admit we were wrong. The 600MHz processor did much better than expected - the chipset is much better than what the Wildfire S had.
The Explorer particularly impressed us when it handled Flash... More
Ladies would love the accessories and the phone's looks
HTC Rhyme

HTC don't like to call it a smartphone, let alone mention Android anywhere in the conversation. However women are clearly the HTC Rhyme's demographic whether HTC admits it or not. Rich in features and generously accessorized, on top of being quite attractive, it will easily connect with its target audience.

HTC Sensation XL

The best phone I've reviewed so far with great praise actually as it is by far the best android device that I personally have used so far and I would also say that I've enjoyed doing this review more than any other.
I am at the moment unsure as to what group of people this phone is aimed at due to its... More
Small screen, lack of third-party application support
Nokia 700
Sandra Vogel from PC Advisor
(

The fact that the smartphone basics are catered for mean the Nokia 700 has decent functionality. However, it may be that bit too small to pass muster as a usable handset, and Symbian 10.1 feels distinctly hampered by a lack of third-party app support.
It's thin, it's light, and it's as fast as they come
LG Optimus LTE

Every review I write elicits the same feeling: this is such an exciting time for Android. Devices are evolving at the speed of light and as soon as you feel like you've got the best of the best, there's something better lurking around the corner. As is the case with the Nitro HD, which currently sits... More
Going for the Samsung Focus S is a choice you are unlikely to regret
Samsung Focus S

It seems hard to find a better player than the Samsung Focus S in the US Windows Phone game at the moment. The device’s hardware is as good as it gets for the platform, but its main selling point is certainly the Super AMOLED Plus screen – its ultra-deep blacks and Microsoft’s Metro... More
The bar is far too high now for the LG DoublePlay to compete
LG Doubleplay

When I look at the LG DoublePlay now, I see a great idea that went terribly wrong. There's plenty you can do with two screens, but this handset barely scratches the surface. More importantly, between conception and release the physical hardware morphed into one of the heaviest, bulkiest Android handsets... More

So you’re heading into an AT&T store with $249.99 and change stuffed inside your pockets, ready to spend it instinctively, but we’d bet you’re fighting over which one to get. Obviously, these identically priced handsets are at the high-end of the spectrum – and justified at... More

Motorola DEFY+

The Defy+ is an odd one. It's rugged, there's no denying that. So logically, if you need a rugged phone, then this might not be a bad choice. But that's a long way off a recommendation from us, because frankly, there's so much other stuff that's unsatisfactory about this phone, that it actually makes... More

HTC EVO Design 4G

The EVO Design 4G is certainly a solid contender when vying for your Benjamin, yet we can't help but feel you'd be better off scrounging and ponying up for a more potent WiMax droid, like Motorola's Photon 4G or Samsung's Epic 4G Touch. The EVO Design 4G while well-made, ultimately is a phone trying... More
