The Palm Pixi Plus is a great smartphone for under $100
8/10
The Palm Pixi Plus serves up a solid user experience as a $99.99 smartphone on Verizon. It offers good integration with social networks like Facebook, populates your address book automatically from email accounts, and has a UI that's intuitive and fun to use.
Still, it's more sluggish than the more powerful Pre Plus, and priced just below several highly competitive devices that may be a better purchase for power users looking for deeper customization. The HTC Droid Eris, for example, sports HTC's Sense experience, which integrates your contacts with Facebook and Twitter, and gives you seven home screens to customize. RIM's BlackBerry Tour sports a better 3.2MP camera and a top notch messaging experience. If you're after webOS, I still suggest you consider the Palm Pre over the Palm Pixi Plus because it has a faster processor and twice the application RAM and internal storage space, though it has a bulkier form factor.
