Slimmer profile, better battery and more attractive design

Like the T-Mobile G1 before it, the T-Mobile myTouch 3G is a very enjoyable phone to use. It offers better battery life than the G1, and comes in a much more attractive design. Some people might miss the G1's hardware keyboard, but many people will prefer the new model, with its slimmer profile and on-screen keyboard.
While the phone is largely a success, it has some weak points. Battery life is still less than one would hope for, explaining T-Mobile's decision to sell battery extenders, and the camera performance still leaves much to be desired. We've also suffered from a bit of multi-touch envy after having spent time with HTC's Hero. In spite of those shortcomings, the T-Mobile myTouch 3G is a great phone for day to day use. And as such, we give it a "Highly Recommended" rating.
