One of the most feature-packed phones money can buy

The N95 is one of the most feature-packed phones money can buy. Its biggest asset is a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics for taking the sharpest, most vivid pics you'll get from a phone (though autofocus is quite slow). Also notable is the Transformer-esque two-way slider design — a keypad... More

It doesn't quite measure up to all the fuss

Joe Brown from Wired ( over 4 years ago )

Nobody was more psyched about the N95 than I was. After all, this was to be the phone to end all phones: A 5-megapixel camera with auto focus and Zeiss optics, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, a swank dual-direction slide, and friggin' GPS! Then I finally got one, waved bon voyage to the old Joe Brown and set off... More

Till today I have never had the courage to name any phone like the best one on the market with clear conscience. But Nokia N95 does deserve this label. It has no adequate competitors on the current mobile market: it is extremely rich in functions, has a comfortable and detailed user interface with plenty... More

UPnP support makes it easy to share data such as music or photos across a wireless network and the other software includes the usual Web browser and mobile email with readers for PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. There's also a voice recorder, a unit converter and a calendar.

And the kitchen sink award goes to….Yes, Nokia crams every feature you can think of--and then some--into its much-anticipated N95, including a 5-MP camera, GPS, and Wi-Fi. You'll be hard-pressed to find a more stacked smart phone, or a more expensive one. This unique slider costs a whopping $749. (For... More

did not survive 6 months

Mine didn't last 6 months. Wi-fi was great, gps was a waste of time, taking 20-30 minutes to lock onto position at times.
Having a camera on the back may sound good, but in practice it was always getting in the way. Slide the phone in your pocket and the shutter would open on the camera and put... More
