Not everyone wants an expensive smartphone, and the Nokia C5-04 caters to those who want the functionality of a smart phone without the expense. The C5-04 uses the Symbian operating system combined with a touch screen interface that works well.
Hardware specifications are nothing great, but still respectable. The C5-04 uses a 600MHz processor and has 128 MB of RAM. This is good enough for most users who are not running ten applications at once. The phone only includes 40 MB of storage so if you have any need for applications you will have to buy a separate micro SD card to add more storage.
A nice feature of the C5-04 is that is supports Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files right out of the box. It also has social networking features built in and has a very good predictive text messaging input. Nokia's Ovi Maps application gives users free worldwide navigation as well. This program works rather well but does not measure up to the Google Maps application that rival Android devices have access to.
3G support is good and download speeds are very quick. Applications and web pages download fast and there is not much waiting around. Battery life is also good with the C5-04, averaging about 4.5 hours of talk time or up to 470 hours of standby time. Even heavy users will notice that the C5-04 will last a whole day without having to be charged.
