The good: The Nokia 2680 offers Bluetooth, a VGA camera, and an attractive, compact design.

The bad: The handset has a clunky and slow menu interface. Its speakerphone quality is subpar.

The bottom line: The Nokia 2680 doesn't offer the best menu interface or speakerphone, but the prepaid phone is a decent basic phone for occasional use.

I've had this thing for 2 years and a half using Rogers prepaid. I broke the screen two times by dropping it/playing sports w/ it in my pocket--thankfully, it's really easy to replace the screen by ordering one off ebay for like 7 bucks. I have dropped it so many times there are dents all over it but it still works relatively well. However, the battery cover did seem to fall off easily, as someone has said--my solution was to put some double sided tape on the inside of it and now it never goes off.

The reason I am writing this review is because I am going to start searching for a new phone. The reception on this phone has become very bad--earlier today I was comparing my reception (I'm with Rogers) to my friend's sitting beside me (also on Rogers). He had 5 bars and I had 1. Probably has to do with dropping it so many times. Anyways if you don't need anything fancy (I usually use mine just to text) this can work fairly well.

Do not buy this phone or be sucked in for a replacement by rogers. This phone is garbage, falls apart, back comes off battery falls out poor reception, cant here the conversation. ard to here it ring.cant see the display not bright enough, cant here the alarm clock all around junk, spend the money to get something better........

I'm not fluent in gadget operation, so easy to operate is essential to me. 8 out of 10 for me. Camera can be very useful, it's easy to operate. For the price, I highly recommended it. It's definitely not an iphone but if you don't need those bell and whistle it's 1/10 the price.

The screen is too dark to see outside at all, so forget about texting, websurfing or anything else where you have to see the screen. Shading it doesn't help. No brightness or contrast control anywhere in the menu. Waste of money.

The phone, even though it has gud features and design does not have a gud performance. It wud shutdown at imes itself, the inbox wln't open and its keys get stuck!!!

Very impressed.

The phone is compact and slim, with an overall svelt form which makes it a pleasure to carry and use. The slide mechanism has a very strong, positive feel, which is quite impressive given the fact that this is positioned as a basic phone. Otherwise the OS is S40, which is ubiquitous among low-end market phones. The screen isn't that sharp and solid like Nokia's high-end phones, but that's understandable. Perfect for ultra-light, necessity-only phone users! I would highly recommend this phone.

I got the Nokia 2680 on Petro-Canada for my wife, and ported her number over from Telus' prepaid. It was a smooth transition to the credit of the Petro-Can service rep.

I got this phone after losing my old one. Cheap and convinient since it did nto have a contract.

ONLY PROBLEM I have is reception. Alot of cracking/static whenever I call someone.

I bought this phone on January 2nd, 2010 with a leather case for my dad who is 80 years old for emergency.

In less than 3 weeks the back cover fell off and was lost.

Probably the sale person did not put the back cover properly after putting the SIMM card in the back of the phone.

No help from Rogers neither Nokia, no parts available, no legal warranty.

First and last time I buy a Nokia phone, all my other cell phones for the last 10 years were Motorolla's, no problem.

Its a great phone for the price,
i bought it after losing my old one.
has most of the features of the more expensive nokia phones, and pretty good reception.
My only problems were that it would randonly shut of at times (not often)
and if you constantly slide it the springs will break,
and the phone is useless.
overall though a really good phone. :D

When I decided to get this phone after breaking my previous phone I was pleasently surprized to see that the phone and a blutooth headset were included in the box. The phone was 89.99$ on rogers prepaid which is one of the cheapest i have seen that isnt a piece of crap. If you are looking for a phone with a ton of features, amazing camera, then dont go for this one. but if want a phone with great reception , good call quality works well and looks good then this could be you phone. Although it is a little bit wierd that they put a music player in when there is only 12mb of storage a it not upgradable.
