Nokia has been serving up budget handsets for a quite a long time now. Their experience in the budget segment shows in the Nokia 1616, which comes with just the bare essentials and then some. For something so cheap, you wouldn’t believe that it actually packs in a color screen and several extra features. So, just what exactly does the Nokia 1616 have to offer?
Firstly, the 1616 comes with the Nokia S30 operating system, which is very easy to navigate on the 1.8-inch color screen. It even has a built-in FM player and e-mail client, making it a lot more useful during those dull moments that most people tend to have while riding in public transport. The phone is small and lightweight, therefore it is very pocketable and easy to carry around. If you are in a hurry and just need to have some form of communication on your wherever you go, the Nokia 1616 will definitely not be a burden.
There are many other budget phones available in the Nokia 1616’s price range. But few are perhaps equipped with the battery life and build quality that’s normally associated with the Nokia brand. The included battery has a 800 mAh capacity, and should be just about enough for a full day’s worth of use per charge.

What the Critics Are Saying...
- Damien McFerran, CnetWith so many cheap phones on the market, it's hard to decide which offers the best deal. All of the phones we've reviewed recently have been seriously lacking in features, and the Nokia 1616 does nothing to buck this unwelcome trend. It's unquestionably competent when it comes to making phone calls...
