The Motorola RAZR franchisee continues with the Razr VE20, also known as the Motorola Vegas. A competent clamshell, the Razr VE 20 offers a feature mix variant of its predecessors, providing another choice for users who enjoy the now iconic flip.
In addition to a complete entry level feature set that includes an alarm, stopwatch, calendar, world clock, et al., the Razr VE 20 also has a nice 2.0 MP camera with video and 4X zoom, 32MB of onboard memory expandable via microSD, a speakerphone and an address book with a 600 name capacity.
The main display boasts a 240 x 320 pixel resolution representing over 65K colors and an external screen that displays the time, battery and signal strength and message indicator.
The VE 20 also allows for voice commands for dialing, recording and speakerphone, 2.0 Bluetooth, 3.5 mm headphone jack and a WAP browser for internet access.
As with all the devices in the Razr line, the Motorola VE 20 offers a logical mix of basic and intermediate features that combine to provide a quality, useful user experience. For a fun everyday phone intended for calls and some texting, this latest Razr incarnation is a good pick.
