Established in 1946 by Tadao Kashio, an engineer specializing in fabrication technology, Casio has become a leader in desktop and handheld calculators and innovative wristwatches that boast an abundance of features.

Milestones include the first all electric compact calculator in 1957, the release of Casio’s personal calculator in 1972, which went on to sell over 10 million units, and the first G-Shock watch in 1985.

Casio involved itself in the mobile communications market by creating a uniquely durable cell phone, called the G’zOne. This cell phone is designed for tough environments.
