Cons:
-Texts continuously delete randomly for first couple months. Think it may be due to app or widgets causing some issue. removed most widgets and seemed to solve issue.

-Screen changes to a rainbow display and locks up, having to do battery pull

-Slow. I can type faster than my texts can keep up. Sometimes waiting 10+seconds for texts to load. (100 texts per conversation and 7-10K of texts in total)
-Support is poor from LG and Telus. Most reps were unfamiliar with it so I had to solve my own problems.
-anything with higher compression than AVI's wont work well, no matter which player.

I was worried that this was the benchmark for all android phones, but have been told by some telus store reps that this was a very low end and troubled android phone. Should have went with the Milestone.

But if you use it for a phone and text only. and keep all conversations small and keep deleting and cleaning up you may really enjoy this phone.
Switched to a 4 year old blackberry curve 8530, and it has been an upgrade oddly enough.

I've had this phone for 15 months. Within the first month I had it sent away because the touch screen died. Unfortunately I couldn't just return it then as Telus only gives you 2 weeks to test out the phone. I get the phone back, it works again. But it's not a good phone. It glitches, restarts on it's own, has a terrible layout. The only redeeming feature is the QWERTY keyboard - which is what I wanted when I bought a new phone. The phone is now 3 months out of it's warranty and doesn't work at all. It has stopped recognizing the Telus network and it requires a minimum $150 fix. I have to go back to my old LG phone which, despite having had a product replacement plan, still works. I didn't purchase a product replacement plan for this phone and now I'm SOL. So for the next 19 months of my contract I have to use my old basic phone as there are no other options without spending a minimum of $150. I didn't break this phone, it broke on it's own and now I'm supposed to pay for it or wait 19 months until I can get an upgrade. Terrible, terrible phone.

with my LG shine Plus right now. In June it will be a year since I have it. Lately I have been having issues with it. Like other reviews have commented that it will delete all my messages. I have pictures and videos of my grandbabies and a few times, I didn't get to download them and they were gone. Right now I can not text out to people - I get the texts but they don't receive mine. I am seriously looking into getting something different. Also I have had it where my daughter would text me and it would show up that someone else on my contacts list was the one who sent it. I reply back and it goes to the other person and not my daughter. I do enjoy using it but I drive a school bus and I need to keep in contact with the parents and if my messages are deleted, it could not be good and I can not text them back to let them know if I got the message.

Had the phone under a year now. When it feels like it, it will erase every text message I've recieved and sent, that's complete garbage...why would it do that? Thousands of messages with numbers and reference information gone. And the slippery little pile is next to impossible to answer in some situations, with it's retarded "slide the thing across the screen" answer function. Looking for new phone tomorrow.

I have had this phone for 3 months.....i liked it for the first few days because I had upgraded from a malfunctioning Keybo. Little did i know this phone is 10x worse. It kept deleting my messages and then today it locked me out and froze for 3 hours and when I finally got in it had deleted all my contacts emails apps and messages. I know exactly why telus stopped selling this phone! i would never get another android again. If you are a texter well this phone is not for you its slow to type and the touch screen is unresponsive.

When I first got it I hated it = but I got it for free on my plan. After a while I discovered that by turing off all kinds of location, roaming and data features I could easily get 2 days of battery life out of it. I only turn on these features as I need them. Also, I am really rough on gear. I have dropped tis thing so many times getting out of my van that it should be dead by now. I flies into pieces when it hits the ground - but this is its magic. That is what absorbs the shock. Put the three pieces back together and your on the air again.

If you did what I have done to this phone to an iPhone you'd be dead in the water.

It's marginally heavier than other phones, which is why it's so robust - but there is even a plus to that.
If your feeling a little to light when you head out the door you remember to go get your phone.

- Battery needs improvement. It'd be fully charged. 5 minutes later, battery was halfway gone. Had to get the battery checked and replaced a couple times.
- It's a nice phone but it's very confusing to use.

I don't recommend it. Unless you're a wiz with technology.

This phone is a undeniable piece of crap. I got my first one Aug. 29 and within 2 weeks they replaced the battery then they gave me a new phone which worked okay for about 2 weeks then the same thing started happening. The battery shuts down and I have to keep it on charge all the time while I am home. I do not use the internet so there is no reason for this. Took it back to the store Monday morning dead and they sent it away for "repair". Customer service is of no help (telus) at all. Their problems with LG are being passed onto us the customers. When I get this piece of crap back it will work for about 2 or 3 weeks and go again. The only concession I get from Telus is that if it goes down again I can choose another phone of my choice. Back to Samsung for me cause the crap will go down again. 2 phones of the same model within 2 months both down you know it will be down soon.

This phone is horrible!!! i got it for a year now and 3 months/2 months after i got it kept instantly going on airplane mode and, its texting is soooo annoying that when i type a certain contact it instantly changes the contact im sending it to...also when you type a message you have to keep changing the word to the one you want!

I really like this phone, very easy to use (after downloading manual ). I find it reliable and actually like the weight. A little slippery at times so be careful not to drop it. Installed app killer to conserve battery as I thought the battery was crap until I was informed that smart phones generally use a lot of battery life. Big screens,apps etc. use power! I'm a cell phone virgin and even I figured out how to use this phone.....Enjoy!!
