I've had the LG Rumor 2 for several years now. It's a basic phone; the camera is functional but nothing breath-taking at 1.3 MP. The real plus side is you can store quite a few pictures if the phone also has an SD card inserted (obviously).

The phone is awesome for texting: it stores messages as conversations with your contacts, grouping them by contact rather than a messy, limited space inbox which, in turn, allows for a lot of texting storage. The inbox cleans itself as you go, but if you have any messages you don't want cleaned up, you simply lock them and that's that. Also, if you actively text a contact more often than another, the phone will keep more message history for that contact.
I've never had any issues with the phone in terms of freezing, shutting down or otherwise. It has great battery life. I've used it for 3-4 days texting constantly and I go down from 3 bars (fully charged) to 1. It charges quickly too. I've had last-minute charging done before going to work and it'll go from dying to almost maximum battery power in around 30 minutes.
I'd highly recommend this phone to someone who wanted a simple, functional device with an easy-to-use QWERTY slide-out keyboard, especially if they weren't looking to follow all the expensive Android models out there.
It has a few helpful features, such as a tip calculator and unit converter for a number of different things, like length, area, mass, volume and temperature, all of which I've used way more than I would have expected. There is also a GPS navigator in the phone which is helpful for the directionally challenged (me).
All in all, a great basic phone.
