A very attractive smartphone for the price, with great performance and lots of options

The LG Thrill 4G's capabilities may be a fun gimmick, but in the end that's primarily what they are. The 3D camera is quirky but eventually of limited use, and the 3D menus have even less of a shelf life. In the end, the 3D effects are good for a little showing off, and maybe occasional utility in the... More

When used in the right conditions, LG Optimus 3D is an excellent experience – and you get all the benefits of a powerful Android phone too. But, the battery life is a problem and there’s a heavy price to pay to go 3D too.

Geeky Gadgets
Well made, display is pretty good, 3D games

The LG Optimus 3D is an interesting device, there are a lot of things to like about the Optimus 3D, and there are a number of things that let it down, we really liked the 3D features, especially the 3D games.Recording 3D videos is also a nice feature and we also enjoyed watching a few 3D videos on YouTube,... More

Overall performance is outstanding for the price point

You may be tempted to consider the Thrill a niche product, and rightfully so. After all, there's no mistaking that it is -- first and foremost -- a 3D camera hunkered inside a phone. But in exchange for a Benjamin, you're getting a decent dual-core device that uses good (but not great) components throughout... More

When it comes down to value, there’s no denying that the LG Thrill 4G exudes plenty of it from head-to-toe as it combines all of the lovely features found with any high-end smartphone on the market – plus, it’s tastefully complemented by its 3D capabilities. To tell you the truth, we... More

Overall, the LG Thrill 4G is just a mediocre device

Todd Haselton from BGR ( about 1 year ago )

I like the Thrill 4G because LG tried to differentiate itself with a device that could display and record 3D content. It’s a fun concept and works in practice, but it’s hard to recommend a phone simply because it offers 3D as an option. The third dimension, as it stands in mobile, is purely... More

Mobile Syrup
It is assuredly one of the most versatile and affordable Android devices currently on the market

If you can’t already tell, we really, really like the Optimus 3D. Its 3D features may seem gimmicky, and certainly they are, but they’re a bonus feature on an already-loaded product that blows away many of its competitors in terms of performance, screen vibrancy and build quality. It’s... More

The phone's battery life, its weight and the lack of 3D content is dissapointing

At just $100, AT&T not only gives its subscribers the best back-to-school option with the LG Thrill, it also offers the best Android deal, better yet, steal, on the market. The dominant hardware, standout 3D presentation, and improved 4G speed speak for itself. In comparison to the EVO 3D, we have to... More

A top-tier Android device with 3D capabilities

Chris Burns from Android Community ( about 1 year ago )

What we’ve got here is a top-tier Android device with 3D capabilities and a lovely Texas Instruments OMAP4 dual-core processor under the hood. Without the 3D abilities, this device is running on AT&T’s 4G network with one of the most powerful mobile processors on the market, therefor... More
