In the beginning you could have any phone, as long as it was black. Now there is a phone for every demographic, and the LG Banter is designed for the young at heart who enjoy texting.
As such, it is essentially an entry-level device, but what it lacks in whiz-bang features it makes up for in sensible shoes. Take the 1,000 name capacity phone book, the 2.1 stereo Bluetooth, alarm, calendar, voice-dialing command feature, GPS and more.
It starts out looking like a candy-bar phone but turns into a slider, with a full QWERTY keypad that offers a thoughtful layout of keys but lacks the contour and sculptured keys offered on some other phones.
The 2 inch, single display offers 240 x 320 pixel resolution, which is okay for what it does, but falls short of other displays in its tier group. There is expandable microSD memory, 2.1 Bluetooth, a 2.5mm jack input and a WAP 2.0 internet connection.
This is a decent phone, but feels like stuff left over from 2006 was thrown together to add another price-point offering.
If you want a simple phone, this writer believes other options offer more passion. As is, the LG Banter is okay, but lacks the luster that this solid company has built a reputation on.

The LG Banter was my first phone, and it was alright. the keyboard and texting options are simple and easy to use and figure out. Which was great. I must say that the camera is a very low resolution and disappointing, and options and settings were also. The different faceplate are very colorful and a... More

I have had this cellphone for a year and a half now, and I regret buying this phone. At first, it was great, good batterie life, the keyboard was smooth and the menu seemed easy to use. Now it lasts only a day or so (even if I don't use it a lot I've tried), the phone often freeze and closes... More
