i've had this phone for almost 2 years, and it was one of the best phones i've had. i've dropped this phone lots and it has very little wear. most of the wear is on the front glossy part, but even that is pretty minimal considering how many times its fallen on hard surfaces. inside screen... More

I've had this phone for over a year and i must say its one of the best. If you can still find one, buy it. I got mine for 40$ (sale down from 50$) and it came with a $50 credit, so i was basically paid 10$ for phone. Its very responsive in terms of menu access. Sending or deleting messages is sometimes... I've had this phone for over a year now and it still works pretty well. I got it for free when i signed up with Telus through Walmart. Considering how cheap you can get it now I would highly recommend this for first time cell buyers or someone who will use it minimally. I haven't had any major... More

I recently got this phone and it is good the menu unfortunately is a little screwy but it has a good camera and it was a smoking deal I paid about 55 bucks for it and got a 50 dollar activation credit so the phone cost a little under 5 bucks the volume is good but it takes forever to find things with... This is my 'replacement' phone for my Razr that I smashed when I was drunk one night. If you ever lose or damage an expensive piece of gear, you can always downgrade and buy a phone that's pay-as-you-go and have it activated for your subscription plan.
Don't buy this as a camera... More

This phone has great reception and is duable. I have owned a pink one for 5-7 months and every single text went out! if it is over 156 words/ letters in a text you just have to wait a little for it to send but just close the phone and it'll send by itself! The price is also reasonable i paid 60.00... More

I have owned an LG 285 for 6 months and haven't had any problems with it except it has frozen a few times but is no big deal. I find the picture quality astounding, especially when printing them. It has a fair night shot, and a good response time. The phones built-in memory is good too, it holds... More

It's pretty decent. When I got it, it was already scratched. If you're a person who texts a lot, you don't want this phone because it freezes after you send a message and you have to take the battery out to restart the stupid thing. The vibrate isn't strong enough. Sometimes you can... More

My wife and I are on holidays form Australia in Canada and bought 2 of these phones from a local dealer (of which there are numerous firms) in Namaino on Vancouver Island.
The LG285 is a basic entry point model so dont expect miracles. Having said that, their menu layout is amongst the worst I have... More

I also had this as my first phone. Went for the the price of $90.00 and came with a $50 card. It's a good phone for starters as it has all the basics of a modern cellphone. There is nothing special to the phone and sound quality is fine. The only problem I had with this phone was the power charger... More
