Informr score
The HTC One X currently has an Informr score of 9 out of 10. This score is based on our evaluation of 49 sources including reviews from users and the web's most trusted critics.

Want your web content and mobile videos to be on the large and sharp side? If so, look no further than the HTC One X smartphone. It's got a large 4.7" multi touch screen with support for high-definition (720p) resolution and it looks great.

What about the sound? Well, the onboard Beats Audio provides a rich and authentic sound experience due to its advanced software equalizer with a preset optimized for higher quality sound output. Unfortunately, Beats Audio compatible headphones are not provided with the kit. The phone also comes with a standard-sized stereo audio jack (3.5mm) and a loud-speaker.

A powerful 1.5 Ghz Quad-core supplies the processing (available with global edition) and the 1 GB RAM is enough for most applications. There is 32 GB of on-board (non-removable) storage.

The main camera has a 8 megapixel resolution and you can record high definition videos thanks to 1080p HD video recording capabilities. The front camera is a 1 megapixel camera and should work well for high quality video chatting. Other notable video features include the ability to capture a photo while the phone is recording a video, a separate video recording button to start recording video instantly and a slow motion video recording mode for those aspiring short film makers. And, when you are ready to show off your film, you can connect your phone to Hi-def displays using an HDMI connector.

The One X has a number of fancy sensors. There is an ambient light sensor that can adjust the screen brightness according to the exposure of direct light on the screen. There is a proximity sensor that turns off the touchscreen if your ear is too close to the display. There is a gyro sensor which can sense the tilt of the phone in your hand and tilt the display accordingly. And, there is even a digital compass to aid with navigation.

Need to Know: HTC One X

1. Large screen and 720p HD display (The Good)

2. Rich video capture modes and various sensors (The Good)

3. Non-expandable memory, no micro SD slot (The Bad)

4. Large screen and heavy-duty processor reduces battery life (The Bad)

As promised, this phone is fast. Apps snap open, games whiz by with zero labor. Jellybean's impressive Project Butter turns scrolling through lists and screens into some sort of expressionist art: It's hypnotically smooth. It looks like the original X's heat issue has been solved by a faster process...

The HTC One X is fast responsive phone, with a great screen, good build quality, running ICS, (upgradable to Jelly Bean) great call quality, all packed into a sexy sleek body. With a run of the mill camera, and new take on buttons that are confusing to me and will take some time getting use to. Bein...

An incredibly sharp display, strong 4G connectivity, and a blindingly fast processor is enough to make us overlook the overheating issue which, it must be said, is being worked on: A recent OTA update is said to resolve the problem. By our measure the One X takes top honors as AT&T's best Androi...

A beautiful, powerful phone. Fantastic camera. One of the best displays on the market. AT&T’s network is fast in 4G or 3G speeds. Sense 4 isn’t as good as stock Android 4, but it’s the best alternative out there. HTC’s signature protruding camera lens will get scuffed and scratched over the life of...

The AT&T version of the HTC One X has plenty going for it. The smartphone is just as beautiful and well put together as its global sibling, yet still manages to outperform it on almost every occasion. Comparisons aside, the Sense UI 4.0 offers top-notch user experience and the camera is a joy to use...
