Completely disapointed

The processor needs to be improved. I open the flip phone and I have to wait for the phone to react (light up). Delayed key response when texting or dialing (my most fustrating complaint). User interface is minimal at best. When speaking from time to time people have a hard time listening (the mic area... More

HORRIBLE phone... cant wait to get a new one. Piece of sh*t was on the charger perfectly fine. Then It randomly turned off and never turned back. O and because Its a little worn I have to pay $50 to get a new one. And by worn I mean no scratchs on the screen but scratches on the black outing that... More

Horrible Phone

This is not a rugged phone by a long stretch. Have only had it two months, in that time it freezes regularly, takes forever for button inputs to register, and the cradle charger stopped working. This supposedly "rugged" phone dropped from my pocket to the ground and the screen shattered.... More

Only Saving Grace- Waterproof

The only reason I got this phone was because it is waterproof. I was spending more on insurance from drowned phones than it was worth. My only choice of waterproof phones at our local Verizon store was this Casio or another brand which was 3 times as expensive and would have required me to upgrade my... More

Worst phone I've owned

The charger on this phone failed in the first two weeks and was replaced by the store. The phone microphone became so unreliable and weak at 6 weeks that the phone became worthless without a bluetooth headset. The phone was never dropped or wet....so much for ruggedness. Warranty support is non-existent.... More

I bought the first G'zone model when it first came out. My husband still uses it, he is an electrician, and we live on a lake. You just can't break these phones! I switched to a smartphone, after ruining a few I decided I needed to back to the G'zone.

I have noticed quite a few reviews... More

Best Phone i have ever owned!

I had the Casio G'Zone Type S (One of my favorite phones of all time) before the Rock and this is another great phone they have added to the line up. The only con if any is that it can react a little slow some times to the buttons you press and when you have the phone resting on your shoulder to... More

Good overall, but not without faults

Let me start out by saying that my previous phone was a Motorola Razr V3xx for reference.

The voice quality seems just fine to me. No problems with what i hear, & no one has complained about how i sound, either. I text a fair amount (probably 200 texts a month or so).

Texting is more of... More

Great heavy duty phone

I am a home remodel contractor and there are certain features that I value in a phone. Durability because it will get beat up. Push to talk. Flashlight. However, I am a little disappointed that the battery life is relatively short (my previous 3yr old phone had better life). I am also disappointed... More

Really love everything but the vibrate function. Sound quality incoming and outgoing is fine, not sure why others have had a different experience.

My Second Rugged Phone -- A Great One!

The only cell phones I have really liked have been rugged ones. I owned a Casio G'zone Type-S for several years. I dropped it on concrete, used it in rainstorms, took it boating and camping; and it just kept on serving me well. Finally, I gave it to my wife to try and I upgraded to the Casio G'zOne... More

Like after 4 weeks use: Battery life (few calls, goes about a week between charges).

Survived getting soaked in bike jersey pocket on wet ride.

Flash light is fine. Camera is fine, can text pic free to Verizon and then get it free. No cord for it as of a few weeks ago. Trigger button to open it... More

Well it was time for a new phone so I decided on the Rock (considering my lifestyle) and my first phone had such poor phone quality (reciever echoed) that I turned it in - after the sales rep perfomed some udate to the phone still no luck - I had to return for a second time, fortunately a new phone... More

Voice Quality is Unacceptable.

I had one of the first versions of Casio's hardened phones and it was great for almost 3 years. I was happy to switch to this phone because it seemed to have everything that previous phone had while also being thinner and more visually appealing. Unfortunately the voice quality is completely unacceptable.... More

I just got this phone through the upgrade. Upgrade it was. I'm an outdoorsmen and this phone is the top of my list of must have. Everything works great. I've heard that voice quality was bad. I don't think so. I've owned several other phones last being the LG Chocolate and that is... More

Connectivity to PC bad

Anonymous from Amazon ( over 2 years ago )

While the phone itself is great, connectivity via Bluetooth is poor. it also did not come with a second cable, nor did the Verizon store sell one, so be prepared to order online to make it functional.

I had an earlier model. This one has better bells and whistles, features that I can use. It would be nice if the phone came with a manual that covers the all phone's features! (Unless the Verizon store did not repack the manual.) The enclosed "Tips, Hints and Shortcuts" was sufficent... More

Voice quality spoils neat phone.

Anonymous from Amazon ( over 2 years ago )

I had an earlier Casio G phone. And liked it. So I got the "Rock".

This phone has a lot of fun features. Very neat compass/ temperature/ moon phase/ high tides function, good rubberized feel. Good display, camera with flash/ flashlight... etc.

BUT... voice quality is poor (hollow, crackly).... More
