The BlackBerry Storm is RIM’s answer to the iPhone, and what an answer it is! This long-rumored and long-in-development device has debuted with much fanfare. Powered by a massive 624MHz Intel processor, the Storm comes ready to work… and play.
RIM has outfitted this touchscreen with a unique “clickable” feel, giving the user a true sense of “typing” and allowing for faster text entry. When you press on a virtual key, there is an audible “click”, affirming your selection. It’s 3.2” 360 x 480 pixel display, while smaller than the iPhone, has a crisper overall image due to denser pixilation. Web pages look great.
Business users will appreciate the Storm’s ability to work within Word and Excel documents, push email and excellent call quality. Casual users will love the 3.2MP camera with auto-focus, video recorder and music player.
Pros: Very attractive, powerful, great web representation, removable battery, expandable memory, RIM Store app support in the works.
Cons: No WiFi, somewhat larger/heavier than most devices.
Verdict: The BlackBerry Storm is a remarkable and powerful device with a user interface that is much deeper than many competitors. Users will appreciate the variety of ways to accomplish a given task. If you are considering a touchscreen, consider this one.

Also the camera. When you click to take a photo, it lags before the photo is captured.... More

This phone was clearly rushed to market to compete with iPhone. Less than 1 year is the life span of mine...and I understand that is well above average.
I generally am a big fan of Blackberry, but this one was horrible. The hardware is very poor (particularly the touch screen which deteriorated rapidly... More

The Blackberry Storm 2 is by far the best wireless phone I have ever used or owned and it puts Apple's iphone to shame. I especially like the "controlled" scrolling on it that stops when you stop scrolling so you don't over scroll past what you are looking for and it's extremely... More
