Overall I really do like the BlackBerry Curve 9310. It's a great social device and the Boost plans are really tough to beat. Overall I really do like the BlackBerry Curve 9310. It's a great social device and the Boost plans are really tough to beat. It makes a great 2nd device for the smartphone hoarder and an awesome entry device for anyone looking to try BlackBerry for the first time. I think the plans, Boost service and the device itself will entice many new users to try it out and many existing users to change over for OS 7.1. If you're looking for a higher-end device, then you'll most certainly want to check out something like the Bold 9900. The Bold 9900 offers a more refined design, much better keyboard and a higher resolution screen. The Curve 9310 is geared toward those looking for an entry-level BlackBerry or the availability of prepaid plans that Boost has to offer.

The most attractive aspect of the BlackBerry Curve 9310 is its low $49 contract price. But for the same amount, you can get an Android smartphone, such as the LG Lucid, which is capable of a lot more and can run on Verizon’s 4G LTE network. At this point, we don’t see much interest in the... More
The most attractive aspect of the BlackBerry Curve 9310 is its low $49 contract price. But for the same amount, you can get an Android smartphone, such as the LG Lucid, which is capable of a lot more and can run on Verizon’s 4G LTE network. At this point, we don’t see much interest in the BlackBerry Curve 9310, as it just doesn’t stand up to the competition, except for those individuals specifically looking for a low priced BlackBerry.

Still the same ho-hum handset you can expect from RIM, but for a no-contract BlackBerry, it's reliable and makes texting a breeze

Though it's certainly no game changer, the Curve 9310 is a reliable device that sticks to what BlackBerry devotees (however few and far between) come to love. Its familiar portrait keyboard, complete with touch-pad navigation, is still easy to use and makes texting a walk in the park. Call quality was perfectly satisfactory and audio from the speaker was impressive. And if you're to keen on high specs, the phone's 3.2 megapixel camera is enough to get by.
