Superior screen, high-res screen, almost perfect keyboard

The first Bold was big and had a battery that needed daily charges, but it was still the best BlackBerry model in the range; thanks to the beautiful high-res screen and an almost perfect keyboard. It didn’t have the best camera and the 3-megapixel camera here isn’t much better, but the new Bold has... More

The Blackberry 9700 represents more of an evolution of the BlackBerry Bold than a revolution, but RIM has still brought a lot of updates to this ultra-professional smartphone, including several innovations found on its more mass-market handsets. As a result, RIM remains the reference for business smarphones... More

After testing out numerous different Blackberry devices over the past few years, I always find myself with "one more thing" i wish the device would have included. With the Tour it was Wi-Fi, with the CDMA Curve 2 it was a higher resolution camera, and with the 8900 or Pearl Flip it was 3G. Finally, I... More

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 offers refinement of a well-loved format, but it doesn't break much new ground. We can't fault its zippy performance, vivid screen or reliable email service, and its optical trackpad and 3.2-megapixel camera are useful improvements. For BlackBerry fans, and people who want to... More

One of the main differences with this device, as compared to the Tour and the original Bold, was the use of a trackpad for navigation. Some people simply prefer a trackpad over a trackball, and some vice versa. Both will feel a bit strange to the uninitiated, but with a little time spent, the trackpad... More

Love this phone. Upgraded from a POS LG Neon about 2 months ago and MAN is it a complete 180. It navigates well, it's fast, and I love the ability to connect to WiFi wherever I go. Haven't had a single problem with it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering getting a blackbe... More

Great phone with great features. Have it on rogers and the reception is great. Can make phone calls underground in parking lots. Perfect service in elevators.

However the iphone does have more features and is WAY easier to use.
