The BlackBerry Bold 9650 is a slightly fresh flavor of RIM, but still similar to many BlackBerry phones on the market. Under the heading of “new and exciting”, the Bold 9650 includes WiFi and the new trackpad, and both will surely add to the phone’s appeal and usability.

The Bold 9650 will also feature 1xEVDO/3G speeds, a 3.2MP camera with video record and a 2.4 inch, 480 x 360 pixel display (That’s a really good display!). Talk time is rated at up to 420 minutes and standby time is rated at up to 475 hours (These ratings are only estimates and actual battery performance depends heavily on personal usage patterns).

As with all BlackBerry smartphones, the 9650 will offer RIMs proprietary “Push” email client, so you will always get your mail crazy fast, and RIM’s world famous full QWERTY keyboard, complete with individually sculpted and contoured keys to make typing a breeze. And with BlackBerry App World pre-loaded, you’ll have instant access to any app you need.

RIM’s BlackBerry line remains a top flight choice when it comes to smartphones, and the Bold 9650 continues the tradition, along with a few updates.

Much of the device remains very similar, including many of the specs and overall design, but the Bold 9650 also offers twice the memory of the Tour, adds WiFi support, and also includes... More

The messaging capabilities of the 9650 are solid, with email support being the strongest of the bunch. The threaded SMS software looks and works great, and all the IM clients on board mean you can always get the message. Social networking has also improved with better Facebook and Twitter applications... More

Ah, a Tour owner’s dream. The BlackBerry Bold 9650 started life out as the BlackBerry Tour2. It then went through a late-stage metamorphosis and received a memory upgrade and name change for a couple of different reasons. One of the reasons is to utilize a positive product name RIM... More
