Why does the LG Optimus Showtime keep shutting off?

My LG Optimus Showtime keeps shutting off randomly. The battery is fully charged, works good when it stays on. Big problem when I use as an alarm and it shuts off randomly at night:(

Hi there. Are you doing anything before the phone shuts off? Have you tried resetting to factory settings to see if it fixes the problem?
