Why can't I keep my mobility phone number and have be local to my new address here in sask?

If my mobility number is from lets say Regina and I get transferred to Saskatoon why can't I have it transferred to be local to Saskatoon?? It would be extremely inconvenient to have to get a new number. If numbers can be ported from other providers it shouldn't be out of the question

Maybe someone already got your number on a different province. Have you discussed the issue with them? If not, I suggest that you contact Sasktel and know your options. If you can't port it to another province, maybe you can by changing network provider.
