thank you.......pressing the power+volume up button for sometime worked.

I tried everything, flashing new rom, flashing logo.bin, but no luck

It's still stuck in the boot logo

What to do?

It just shows the moto logo when I select normal restart

jst try to power on ur phone from this state (bootloader) by holding power button + clicking volume up button continuosly to 10-15 seconds.....

done.....
ur mobile will boot up,without losing any data,
but i suggest to backup ur data now and change the firmware or update ur mobile ,
as soon as possible...

TRY THIS

APPLY THE HARD RESET USING HARDWARE BUTTONS

1. First of all, turn off your phone (press power button and select “power off” or keep pressing the power key for 15 seconds).
2. Enter fastboot mode on your Moto E.
3. From fastboot mode use volume down / up buttons in order to scroll up and down.
4. Highlight recovery option and select by pressing the power button once.
5. Good; now from recovery select “wipe data factory reset”.
6. In addition you can also choose “Wipe cache partition”; from main menu of recovery pick “advanced” and then select “wipe dalvick cache”.
7. Done.

this should do the trick. But unfortunately all your information will be lost.

My phone Moto e will neither power off or go from the first screen, it says it is locked. I haven't even used the phone as yet, I was just setting it up.
