In practical terms the LG 505C is about the same thickness and slightly longer than a closed flip phone and a little bit heavier. The weight is because of the keyboard. It took me a few days to get used to talking in a phone that is not in front of my mouth like a flip phone is when opened. Even though it is small the screen is big enough that all the text is clear, even in outdoor daylight. The keyboard should also be big enough for most everyone. The phone feels bigger than it is because when you slide it open the keyboard and the touch screen are both active. You can type a search in Google with the keyboard and have a full screen to select links by pressing them with your finger.
