What to do to view second part of text message on the LG Rumor 2?

You should receive the second part of the text message a few seconds after receiving the first part. The first message should either be updated to make it one whole message or you will receive a separate second message. There are instances when you lose reception after receiving the first part and receiving the second part may take a few minutes. But if you're always unable to receive the second part, maybe you should call your carrier and report your concern.

If you want to reset your phone back to its factory settings:
Press Menu > Settings > More... > Security and enter your lock code.

I have the same problem!! Did you find a solution? Even when I wait a few seconds it still is a square. Did resetting it back to your factory settings work? If you do that do you lose all your contacts?

I ended up phoning Bell (my carrier) twice as I lost the first call after he had me take out my battery and reset all my settings which kept my contacts, finally as that did not work, I reset my whole phone losing all my contacts. Luckily I wrote them all down before I called. We kind of found that it was messages coming in from another carrier like Rogers when this was happening.

After I lost that call and I phoned Bell back getting another person. He said it was a well documented problem caused by other carriers' messages coming in. There is a ticket in and they are working on it and hope to resolve the issue soon. He didn't have me do anything, just added me to the list of people in the ticket.

I told him it would have been nice if all their staff knew this before they have people reset their phones! As this issue has been happening to me for months, I am not holding my breath for a quick fix and have advised my close friends to send long messages a page at a time.

I have only inputted 10 of my contacts and did nothing to alter my phone, but I only recieve a square box as my 2nd page in text message. Is this a new problem since January. and when will it get back too normal?
