my new phone stopped responding to touch for 13 hours then just started up again, why?

Just observe your phone and see if it happens again. If it does, try to restart your phone and see if that will solve your issue. But if the touch screen remains unresponsive it may be time for you to contact LG to find out how you can have your phone checked/repaired.
