How can you transfer MP3 from a Macbook to the LG Chocolate?

I recently bought the LG Chocolate through Verizon. Due to exclusive bond of Apple and Cingular, i am unable use my Macbook to load mp3's to my phone (which is a window's supported platform). Is there anyone who might know a way around this problem while using the Macbook and the LG?

According to the salesman "it is possible, but Verizon doesn't endorse it"

Thanks for you help.

  • Unionzac,

I found a thread over at Mobileplanet (http://www.mobileplanet.com/ft.aspx?i=136446&thread=16) that offers some instructions:

Connect pc cable to phone, you dont need the software disc if you have windows xp or xp pro u only need that if you have windows 98

Go to start on computer then click on MY COMPUTER
you should see icon saying removable disc e drive
Click on this and a file will appear saying MY MEDIA
Click on MY MEDIA AND YOU WILL SEE FOLDERS SAYING MUSIC , PHOTOS ETC.
If you want music open that folder, leave it open

Now on start my compter c drive my music , if thats where you keep your mp3s like i do or whereever you keep them open it up so you have both screens open.
Drag the song you want from your folder to the music folder on the 1st screen you had, you will see it transfer.

Once you have all the ones you want then unplug from comp

Go to my stuff on your phone and in music there should be your mp3,s to use as ringtones.
