How to play songs in sequence on the Alcatel One Touch 3040?

Hmm.. Have you tried installing music players on your phone? You can install Java apps. I'm honestly not sure if these music players I found will work, but I would suggest trying them. Here's the link to the apps: click here

Thanks for your reply Carl.
I already have the individual tracks in their own folders, but folders do not show in the Alcatel screen - it just lists all of the files in (almost) alpha-numeric order. And when it moves on to the next track, it may or may not be in the same or a different folder.
The instructions are absolutely useless for this, and the Alcatel web site "Support" link only brings up a PDF of more-or-less the same information. The info is only a skimpy overview of what the main screens do; they don't explain the individual icons within each level, nor how to do things, not even what the blue and white colours for th icons mean - I have to guess.
I'm wondering if I may have a faulty device? For example, if I record a brief memo to myself, I cannot delete it through the on-screen Delete feature. I have to go in via Windows Explorer to remove it.
Any further ideas Carl? This is my first touch-screen mobile, and I'm not impressed!
If anyone else can help, please join in the discussion.
Thanks, Philip.

Yeah, that's really frustrating. As far as I know it's only shuffle that affects the playing sequence. Well, what I just have on my mind is saving the files in separate folder to avoid randomly playing the another track to avoid confusion and just manually play each track.

I tried that but it doesn't change.
I actually want it for listening to Business Training talks, in sequence.
- I've tried giving them filenames in alpha-numeric exact sequence, to try and display them on the screen in the correct sequence.
- I've tried changing the MP3 tags (use free Mp3tag from mp3tag.de) to give them an exact sequence;
- I've done the "Options > Update Songs", but they never display in the correct order. They are almost in the right order, but it's never correct as in a Windows Explorer-type listing.
- I can start listening to, say, track 5, but when it finishes it just will not go to track 6, but jumps to another track at random somewhere else in the list. This is irrespective of whether Shuffle is ON or OFF.
- I've tried setting all the file date-and-time to exactly the same (using the free TouchPro utility from JD Design), but it makes no difference.
1. How do make them display in the correct alpha-numeric order in the first place?
2. How do I make them play in sequence?
Aaaagh! ;-)
Can you throw any light on this? It's very frustrating, and it should be the easiest thing on earth!

I think you want to play songs in your phone in a sequence you see it in your phone. Simply turn off shuffle.
