Can I use a compatible unlocked phone with the PC Mobile $15 prepaid plan?
We are looking for a basic, prepaid plan and as we are long time PC clients we thought that we should contact PC mobile first.
On the $ 15 prepaid plan can you use your own unlocked, compatible phone or do you have to purchase a new phone with the plan? Also, as we are currently with Ma Bell for our home phone, TV and internet, can your plan be on their network.
We are only looking to have a back up phone for travel and emergencys, we will not be gaming, TVing or other bandwidth gobbling activities. What would be the cost of a new, more basic phone?

As per PC Mobile customer relations, they do activate non PC Mobile phones that are compatible with their network. To ensure the phone you are interested in is compatible, contact their activations department at 1-877-284-6361 and a PC mobile representative will assist you. Your device must be HSPA (or UMTS) and 850 MHz and 1900 MHz compatible. Your phone does need to be unlocked.
