Why won't the Nexus 5 turn on?

This morning I unplugged my Nexus 5 from its charging dock (I have the wireless Nexus 5 brand charger) and went to put it in its case. I accidentally put the phone into the charger backwards (so the buttons were covered by the case instead of lining up with the holes in the case) so I took it back out of its case and put it in the right way. When I took it out of the case, the screen went black . I thought I had just accidentally pressed the sleep button but when it was in its case I tried to turn the screen back on again and it stayed black. The phone was at 98% battery when I put it in the case, and I've tried plugging it in to a traditional nexus charger but nothing seems to work. What else can I try to get it back on?

I'm afraid your screen got damaged. I suggest taking it to an LG Authorized Service center and have experts check it. Please contact LG so they can help you locate the nearest Authorized Service Center.
