Can a LG 535 handle a 1GB miniSD?

hi i bought an LG 535 yesterday..and i still need to buy a miniSD card.. i wanna get 1gb one..is it possible for my cell to read it? i read it somewhere that it mite have a problem reading anything bigger than 512..is it true??
