Go to Settings > Apps > Running. Try force stop apps unnecessarily running on the background of your phone. Observe if it improves battery life and if phone still heats up. Keep in mind that watching videos and playing games drains the battery and heats up the phone really fast.

My device samsung galaxy grand prime get heated very quickly and drain battery fast. Also when I open any application on the device, it freezes and the screen becomes blank. Please provide me a solution. I tried to clear date and cache and uninstalled some apps but the problem is not resolved. Awaiting for a response. Thank you
