The USB Computer Connection is available but non-functional. What to do?

Hi freaklogger...i did everything that u said..but that option is in disabled...what should i do now to enable it?

Confusing answers and solution.How can one Unmount the external SD Card.what does it mean.No option icon with 3 dots.Huawei one of the worst phone.Manual does not have proper info.No FAQ.No solutions to problems.Worst customer care.Please post a demo video if any one understand the problem correctly.No one could connect Huawei honor Holly with PC.

Thanks freakylogger. I also experienced this issue and fortunately I could find this response who helped me to fix the problem. How come you need to unmount the SD card to allow the menu to appear ! Bad product !!

The following trick worked for me. • Settings > About Phone > tap the "Bould Number" to be a developer. • Settings > Developer Options > Tick the "USB Debugging" option. • Connect the Device with PC. • Settings > Storage (if u don't have options icon at the top in Settings > Storage , then Un-Mount the external SD Card, Now u can see the Option icon at the top (three dots)). • Tap the Option icon at the top > USB Computer Connection > Select the "Media Device (MTP)" option. Now Check your PC for the Android device. Thanks all

my phone(Huawei Honor Holly)is not connected to system .while i put the tick mark in usb debugging ,my pc show device driver software not installing error will appears. .note usb will fine. if i connect my mobile to pc it will charging .how to trouble shoot

I had the same problem of "USB device not recognized" when connecting Honor-Holly to my PC. Here is the trick that worked for me.
• Settings > About Phone > Tap the "Build Version" option till you are a developer.
• Settings > Developer Options > Tick the "USB Debugging" option.
• Connect your Android device with the PC.
• Settings > Storage > Tap The options icon at the top > USB Computer Connections > Select the "Media Device (MTP)" option.
Then check your PC. It should display the Android Device.

Well, I just use AirDroid to transfer files from phone to computer. But please know that you have to be in the same network to be able to do it. Open Google Play and look for AirDroid, try it out and let me know how it goes. :)
