Maybe you have a lot of widgets on your homescreen, too may running apps, running low on memory, and/or your launcher is eating up too much memory.
I suggest you do the following to speed up your phone.
1. Clear Your App Cache
2. Disable or Uninstall Unused Apps
3. Install a New App Launcher
4. Remove Unnecessary Widgets and Shortcuts
5. Limit or Disable Background Data
