Thank you, Cookiehead! My Alcatel keys beeped every time I touched them and it wa driving me mad. And there were no instructioins in either manual! You saved my sanity and I am so grateful!

menu-settings-sound-general (or select another) press center button to activate. Then options-customize-(here you select ting style, etc.) scroll down to key beep, select silence-save
