How can I clear space on the LG G4C without losing it when I turn off?

Well, there is no space on my phone whatsoever. I then spotted that I could have an SD card so I ordered an SD card with 32 GB of storage and I moved as much as I could across but some of the things on my phone could be moved across and this was a problem as there was still no space and this had been since the first day I used my phone because of something called "miscellaneous" which I cannot move to my SD card or delete and this "miscellaneous" take up over half of my phone storage (and this is about 5.7 GB of the 8 GB of memory on my phone) and this is stopping me from being able to update apps and download things I've lost (which is what I'm talking about next). I turned my phone off as it froze (amazing!) and everything that was on my SD card no longer works because it claims that my SD card has been removed even though it is within the slot, I even took the SD card out and out it back it but nothing worked and now because there is no space I can't download everything I lost because of this issue.
This problem has been the biggest inconvenience and the only inconvenience with the phone and I want to know how to fix this as this phone is new and because I'm on a contract I can't get a new phone for 2 years.
Please help me
