Fido does not ask a security deposit anymore. If the credit evaluation is too weak, they invite the customer to open a prepaid account.
A security deposit is required when the customer has a weak credit evaluation. Depending on the result of the credit evaluation, the customer is asked an amount that was held for a duration of time that was determined by the customer's stability on making the monthly payments. After a certain period, Fido refunds the security deposit to the customer.
