Must be a software issue. Go to Settings > Apps > Camera. Touch Force stop > touch Clear cache > touch Clear data (Caution: Any data saved in this app will be erased). After that, restart your tablet but don't access your camera yet, try it 5-10 mins after you restarted the tablet.
