It's either you really have poor reception in your area or the phone really has bad reception. If you believe that it's the latter one, contact the phone your bought your phone from to ask for a possible replacement (if still under warranty). You can also try to update your phone's firmware which can improve your phone's performance.
To check if there's an update available, go to Settings > About Phone > Online Update.
You may need to be connected to Wi-Fi for this to work.
