Plantronics is renowned for its audio and build quality in the headset arena and almost always makes a very usable and comfortable headset for users. Overall, the Plantronics Voyager 520 is a great Bluetooth headset. Plantronics rarely falls short, and doesn't do so in this case, either. With sleek and modern looks, great audio, and wonderful battery life, the Voyager 520 is a sure winner. The Voyager 520 from Plantronics earns itself a "Highly Recommended" rating.

Although it lacks the Jawbone's sophisticated noise-cancelling capability, the 520 still has excellent noise rejection, plus it sounds great and has stellar battery life, making it a better choice. Plantronics continues to sell its 510 alongside the 520, though in my view the newer design trumps the old. In fact, faced with a decision between the two, I'd go with the newer model, even at a higher street price. And given my devotion to the 510, that's saying a lot.

The Plantronics Voyager 520 is a great Bluetooth headset for all types of situations. It’s sleek and professional enough for business use, and it’s cool enough for home/college/wherever use. The battery life is exceptional, Bluetooth signal strength is fantastic, sound quality is clean and free of interference, and the overall package is very satisfying.

The $99 USD price tag is very fair for such a comfortable and high-quality Bluetooth headset. There are some cheaper alternatives on the market, but saving $10 or $20 on a budget headset could cost you more upset, frustration and discomfort in the long run.

I give the Voyager 520 two thumbs up. I recommend it, but would urge individual users, especially picky ones, to find a Voyager 520 in a store and try it on for size and comfort. Chances are you’ll be very happy.

This bluetooth doesn't really fit very comfortably in my ear nor make a very good seal. There are times when it has static even though it's only 2 feet from my phone. Have had a fair number of complaints from people who I leave voice mails, that they couldn't understand what I was saying. I'd probably not buy one again.

I have used servals bluetooth headset this one is my favorite.

The fit is good, sound is good.

I am very pleased with this product. I have had it for about a month now and have had no real issues except for a little static sometimes. It seems to have gotten better overtime though. I would definitely recommend this product.

My husband uses the Plantronics 520, and has for the last few years, we're both truck drivers, and these are the only ones that we've found that truly cancel out the background noise. We both use them, I just use a different model.

I bought this item for my sister for her birthday. She LOVES it!!!!! She had done the research and requested this one and she was not disappointed. She called me using it and I must say she was VERY clear. I have talked to people using a blue tooth and many times it is very garbled. She was clear as a bell!

As I've owned this product before, my expectations were high. This particular Bluetooth device is robust in design and configuration, while demonstrating excellent audio performance. Its ergonomics are excellent as is its style of ease of useage. I highly recommend this item to anyone desiring an excellent earpiece. Barry Taff, Ph.D.

I wasted several hours trying to get this headset to work. I thought maybe the problem was with my bluetooth dongle, so I tried it with my phone. The phone couldn't connect either. It is comfortable, though. Too bad it doesn't work with any of my devices.

I am pretty happy with this device but I mostly use it while driving.

The audio quality is pretty good if you use it in the car, but decreases if you use it while walking or just standing outside.

This is one of the better plantronics I'm my oppinion, great sound and cancelles noise really good as well. Can also sync to two devices at once

Overall, I am fairly pleased with this headset. I had never owned a bluetooth headset prior to the Plantronics 520, but have been exposed to the Jawbone on multiple occasions.

Pros: great sound quality, very long talk and idle battery life, aesthetically pleasing (very subjective), comfortable

Cons: absolutely abysmal range, connection between the unit and the charging cable exceedingly flimsy

The range could be a deal-breaker for some. It states 33 feet in the manual, but if I put my phone in my messenger bag vs. my pocket, the call quality diminishes significantly. After ten feet, conversations are impossible. The weak connection between the unit and charging cord is a relatively minor issue, but it will disconnect too easily and if you are off to do other things, might not be charging when you believe it to be.

It's a relatively inexpensive bluetooth headset and does what you expect it to; no less, no more. One of my deciding factors was the ear hoop/clip that many competing units lack. I have always had issues with earbuds etc. that are supposed to lodge inside the ear, so this gives me the security I wanted. The range is disappointing, but not a deal breaker for me since it will primarily be paired with a phone left in my pocket or in the center console of my car. If range is vital, I suggest looking elsewhere.
