cellphone headacheDo you experience headaches often? And do you notice that you usually experience it right after a long talk on your mobile phone? If you're worried it's your cellphone that's causing that headache, rest assured that it's all on your head and has nothing to do "harmful emissions" from your mobile phone.

A study done in Norway very reassuringly tells us that cellphone-related headaches are psychological. Dr. Gunnhild Oftedal of the Norway University of Science and Technology in Trondheim and colleagues tested 17 cellphone users who experience "cellphone-related" headaches regularly after phone calls lasting 15-30 minutes. The results were published in the journal Cephalalgia.

According to the test subjects, they experienced headaches 65% of the time during the multiple tests administered to them even though they've only been using cellphones that actually emit regular phone emissions only half the time. For the scientist, this indicates that the headaches are due to "negative expectations" whenever they are using cellphones rather than as a result of the effect of emissions. Very reassuring indeed.
